Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood is a complicated love affair of Toru Watanabe. The plot starts with 37-year-old Toru Watanabe, recalling his girlfriend, Nakao. The plot goes on with the life of Toru Watanabe, the protagonist and narrator of this story.
The novel emphasizes the theme of love, death, suicide, sex and mental health. The best thing about this novel was that each character was unique in one way or another and above all bizarre. The story revolves around Toru Watanabe's intricate relationships.
Later in this novel, Toru falls into a love triangle that was with Midori and simultaneously, he was in love with Nakao. Upon realizing his love for Midori, he began to feel that he had deceived Nakao. The novel left numerous unanswered question with readers and the end was abrupt.
