"Nothing in the world is ever completely wrong. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day."
'Brida' by Paulo Coelho is the story of a young Irishwoman called Brida. She wanted to learn magic to know her soulmate and to understand and come up with answers regarding her life. In her quest for knowledge, she encountered Magus and Wicca. They assisted her in her pursuit of knowledge and taught her the tradition of the sun and the tradition of the moon. As she progresses, she learns a lot of things and later learns that Magus is her soul mate.
I like the message which "Brida" gives to his reader is the difference between love and lust by referring to a flower that is "People gives flower as a present because flower contains the true meaning of love. Anyone who tries to possess a flower will have to watch its beauty fading. But if you simply look at a flower in the field, you'll keep it forever". This line touches my heart and this message made me fall in love with this book.
There are few things that I did not like for instance this book says that it is absolutely fine to love someone else and yet be with someone else. It also says that it's fine to have two or more soulmates at the same time. Overall, this was a good read.
"You will never be mine, and that is why I will never lose you."
