"The Gold Cat's Daughter" by Mark Rude is a story of a 14-year-old girl, Cindra Corrina, who wants to see the outside world and go outside the walls of her Castle. Count and Countess of Corrina have arranged her marriage with a 12-year-old groom whom she has never met. She is already in the imprisonment of her castle and before going to get locked up again in another castle she wants to see the outer world. So, she decides to get out of the castle in a disguise of a servant and she was successful; in doing that, but at midnight after being attacked by a beast she returns back to the Castle. Later She falls in love with a Knight of Corrina.
Whether she will get her first love? Whether she will leave her, beloved, for her father's wish? Whether she is going to marry the groom her father decided? What is lies in Cindra's fate? To know the answer to all of these questions you have to read the book. This is the first book of the Cindra Corrina Chronicles.
Talking about my view about this book, I liked the plot line of this story and am surely going to read the second book of the chronicle very soon. But at some point, I felt the scenes being dragged with unnecessary details. But overall this was a nice read for me. This book is full of twists and turns which will persuade you to keep going with the story.
