"It Follows You" by Keran Pantth Joshi is a collection of 12 haunting stories that will give you goosebumps while reading. The story starts with an introduction of a Guruji and his devote, Devdutt, who is forbidden from eating ladoos, as the ladoos were cursed. Guruji then narrated to him, 12 horror stories, to make him understand what is cursed, an evil eye, a spell or the demon, and how it follows you.
The 12 stories in the book are: Kaal Ratri, The Blind Date, This Doll Belongs to You, Don't Turn Back, The Unwanted Guest, The Haunted Highway, What's Your Story, Himanta's New Bride, The Return Of The Curse, The Rosary, The Payback, The Walk In The Jungle. The one which I liked the most in these 12 is The Walk In The Jungle which is different from the stereotype horror stories, in which it is shown that how a spirit took the form of the protagonist's friend and saved him from other evil spirits while crossing the jungle. The protagonist realises the fact that he is not his friend, but a spirit only after reaching out of the Jungle.
The stories are enchanting, fast-paced, mysterious, and crisp. These stories will take you on a journey full of mystery, adventure, and terror. The only reason to choose this book was its intriguing cover and the title, and the book didn't disappoint me either. The language and narration style is lucid and gripping which will keep you hooked throughout the book. I would recommend this book to all the horror lovers out there and to beginners.
