The Greatest Game
Book Name: The Greatest Game
Author: Greg Rajaram
Genre: Fiction
"The Greatest Game" by Greg Rajaram is a philosophical fiction book, talking about good vs evil, love, right vs wrong, and the evolution of mankind. There are two parts to the book. In the first part, The story starts with a couple Devi and Shivaji, living in a no man's land peacefully until they ate the silver apple and everything turned upside down. The second part talks about Krish, an engineer working with a startup company to develop an artificial consciousness in machines just like we have seen in the movie "Avatar" produced by James Cameron. The story has several subplots and a difficult plotline.
The story contains the essence of Hindu Mythology and Christian Mythology. The book is highly philosophical and one will need to re-read things again to understand. One thing I felt was that the story was containing lots of subplots... And the essence of different mythology and movies, still it was not much entertaining. I felt the lack of synchronization between subplots and characters. The switch from one character to another was not smooth and sometimes it was quite difficult to read. In the end, also there were lots of unanswered questions and I would rather say the ending and even the story also was quite ambiguous in nature.
