Brahma Rakshas: The Monster Within

Book Name: Brahma Rakshas: The Monster Within

Author: Sandiip N Paatil

Genre: Child Fiction

"Brahma Rakshas: The Monster Within" is a story of the 11-year-old Sarja and his fight with the monster inside him. Sarja is a short-tempered boy living in a village with his mother, and his father is in jail in the punishment of theft. Sarja and his mother are paying for his father's deeds, as the villagers insult them and didn't like them. Sarja has always thought that buying a coat would make up for their lost dignity and that's why he was saving money for that but one day a monster came and stole his money. Finally, when he finds the monster, the monster challenges him for a duel and says if he won then he will return his money.

The language and narration style of the story is lucid and intriguing. I would suggest this book for children and teenagers as the book will not only serve the purpose of a bedtime story, but it will also ingrain some moral values in them.

Do read to know what was the result of this duel of Sarja and the monster who stole his money.
