"The Tenth Riddle" by Sapna Saxena is a terrific crime thriller. This book is a blend of Fiction, History, Mythology, and Murder Mystery. The plots start with Avni, Princess of Goner dying mysteriously, the day she became Queen. Shoumik, an IB Officer along with his two friends, Shakti, a local politician and Ishan, a bestselling author starts investigating the case of the Princess. In the course of the investigation, they came across a prophecy formed with ten riddles. The riddle if solved will tell them the motive for which the queen has to die which will eventually help them to find the killer. They also came to know in their investigation about the mortality rate of the child in Goner. The female mortality rate of infants is very high in Goner and the reason behind the death is the disfigurement.  One more mystery that why only female infants were dying, and what was the reason behind the disfigurement of the female infants. 

"The Tenth Riddle" is a saga full of mystery, drama, secrets, dirty politics in the family, and superstition. I loved this book and I also came to know lots of things about Hindu Mythology that I didn't know. Indeed, this story is bewitching which will keep you engrossed till the last page. The language is lucid and the narration style is captivating. I finished this book in one go. I would suggest this book to beginners and mythology lovers.
