"Will You Be My Secret?" by Sanskriti Mishra is an amazing book full of raw emotion, this book took me on an emotional roller coaster ride from which I was unable to hop down until I reached the last page. The ending of the story robbed my heart, I felt cheated by the protagonist and I cried after finishing this book. This is the kind of book about which I have an ambiguous feeling...I loved this book and at the same, I hated it too. I just can't explain my feelings in words that I have for this book, but I know one thing for sure that this book is going to be the closest to my heart.
Talking about the plot of this book, the story is set in Mumbai and revolves around Aayna and Nikumbh. Aayna is a writer and runs a business too. She has finished writing her first book and is now searching for a story to write her second book. She has arrived in Mumbai for the sole purpose to find a new story. Nikumbh is a businessman, with a troubled childhood, who is dissatisfied and unhappy in his 9 to 5 job and wants to dedicate his time to his business only, but financial constraints didn't allow that.
He meets Aayna in his office where she has applied for a content writer and a spark ignited between them. Aayna found her new story in Nikumbh and Nikumbh find his solace In Aayna. What's going to happen? Can Aayna write a story in which Nikumbh is living? Or is she also going to fall in for her? What's going to be the result of this? What Impact it is going to leave on Aayna and Nikumbh? What would Nikumbh do when he will find that she came close to him to find a story inside him?
The book revolves around the theme of Domestic Violence, Love, Betrayal, Friendship, Troubled Childhood, family, loneliness, struggle. The language is beginner-friendly and the narration style is engaging, it will keep you on your toes the whole time.
