The Dead Don't Talk
Book Name: The Dead Don't Talk
Genre: Mystery
Author: Sumit Ghosal
"The Dead Don't Talk" by Sumit Ghoshal is a Murder Mystery revolving around Ganguli's family. Murder has happened inside a closed room of Soma's Gangly, with every family member having a possible motive for the murder. But the murder is only one? Who is the murderer and how could one murder in a closed room and escape successfully? This question was disturbing to the private investigator, Rudradeep Ray and his friend Sujit. Rudradeep Ray is a fact seeker and has an amazing ability to deduce things and he was able to crack the case despite so many confusions, lies and suspects but how he did that is amazing to read. In the end, when I got to know the real culprit, I was rather shocked than surprised coz I haven't guessed in my wild imagination also of that person being the murderer throughout the story.
Talking about the language then it is rich and beginner-friendly and the narration style is engaging, although I felt at some point that story is being dragged unnecessarily. The story is slow-paced but has maintained the mystery till the last page. Now, talking about the title of the story, then initially I couldn't understand the meaning of this title but in the end, I understood the implications of this title. Indeed, the author has been very thoughtful about the title of this book. I would suggest this book to beginners.
