"People who complain about lack of resources, facilities and opportunities don't have the champion mindset. It's never about getting. It is always about creating."

"Shuttler's Flick: Making Every Match Count" is the story of a champion. It is the biography of the former badminton player, Pullela Gopichand, who is right now the chief national coach for the Indian national badminton team. He is the man of ethics, and he is the one who changed the course of badminton in India. This book shows Pullela losing game playing in his childhood from the boys older than him, to the time when he broke his knee and everyone was sure that his comeback is futile and he is not going to succeed, to become the second Indian to win All India England Championship in 2001, after Prakash Padukone. He has won Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, and the Padma Bhushan Award. Currently, he is running Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.

This book is a biography cum self-help book. This book has hit me really and inspired me to work towards my goal without thinking about the result, it taught me to compete with myself every day, to improve myself every day, it is me vs me. I would say this is the best book which I have read till now in 2022 and all the insight which I have got from this book is going to be with me forever. The language and the narration style is lucid and engaging. This book is not like other biographies and self-help books that you would be bored with after some time... It is so interesting that you won't be able to put this book down.  After finishing this book, I am feeling like a different person, I am more optimistic toward my Goal and more confident. The most important thing, is I know that how I am going to work toward my goal and conquer it with flying colours. If you are a sports lover then you must read and even if you're not a sports lover then also you must read this. I would say that every reader and non-reader should read this book once. It's highly inspiring and motivating. I am just in awe of Pullela Gopichand.

"It's crystal clear that if you want to be better than yourself, you have to do more than you did yesterday."
